Fantastic news from BigMarker!

Today we have several significant updates for you! And this batch of update is mainly focused on performance and streaming quality for the webinars, particular for users with lower internet speeds.

  1. New Streaming Engine: We have just released our latest webinar streaming engine! The new streaming engine provides significant improving overall streaming experience and significantly improve the capability in establishing connections for users with slower internet, decreases jitter and lag. So far we have seen really good results that is especially apparent in large webinars. This new release was result of many of trouble shooting sessions with users that had trouble connecting and countless testing of different network conditions. So thank you for all the feedbacks you have giving us to make this release possible.

  2. Webcast Mode: We have also released a major new broadcasting viewing mode called Webcast Mode. Webcast Mode is design to optimize bandwidth usage for webinar viewers with slower connections and provides significantly more compatibility with users on outdated browsers and operating systems. It provides automatically bandwidth adjustment based on the user’s internet speed. There is one important distinction with webcast mode, when webinar attendees view the webinar in webcast mode, they will view the webinars in a 20 to 30 second delay due to buffering, (so this is not available in meetingspace and is only available for webinar attendees for viewing only). To enable webcast mode, go to the webinar you like to enable, click on Edit, then go to Advanced Settings, in the Webcast Mode section, you can choose to allow the viewer to decide if they like to view in webcast mode or enforce everyone will view the webinar in webcast mode, the default option currently is with webcast mode off that is like our normal webinars.

  3. New iOS app: Our new iOS app was just released yesterday, with it, it includes many bug fixes and performance improvements. We also added the meetingspace section in the iOS app.

  4. Facebook Live Preview Video: You can now customize and upload your own facebook live preview videos. Please make sure the video you upload changes and is not a still image, if still image your feed with facebook will get cut.

We have many product releases schedule in the upcoming weeks including, meetingspace improvements, webinar series, etc. so stay tuned!

Thank you
